‘Incantations’ is a lookbook that I shot for @anumberofoutfits at the start of the summer in 2020. With this shoot, I wanted to deliver a photoset that was of a high editorial quality while still capturing a playful spontaneity to create an intriguing contrast. This approach was extended further by choosing street locations that were edgier and full of character to contrast the model’s fashion that was more muted and subdued. All of these elements helped create a unique photoset that resulted in a lookbook that was lush with character and warmth.
What I enjoyed the most about this shoot was collaborating with Anum, shooting in a variety of locations and finding unique ways to make each of the environments interesting. I am very proud of the photoset and it has given me the confidence to turn more creative photoshoot ideas into reality.
