Electric Island 2018 & 2019

These are some of the highlights from my coverage photographing the annual Electric Island summer electronic music festival in 2018 & 2019. Shooting this festival was a unique opportunity as it allowed me to bring my skills from nightlife event photography into the daytime. I challenged myself to seek out and capture candid interactions from the crowd as I thought those moments would be the most authentic & memorable.

While photographing nightlife events typically require working with shadows and low visibility, shooting during the day enabled me to also incorporate light and tones into my compositions to produce these photographs. I am happy with the final photos as I was able to capture the joy and electricity of the crowd enjoying themselves at the festival. This experience has given me the confidence to shoot even more music festivals and events in the future.
